Annette Birkmann is a motivational speaker with a different story from most

She is possibly the first attorney in the world to have replaced the pen with a spanner in a motorcycle repair shop in Buenos Aires. And one of the few women in the world to ride solo from the southern tip of South America, through Central America, Mexico and across the United States; a journey covering 33,000 miles (53.000 km) through 16 countries.

Annette started her journey in Buenos Aires in December 2006 and went to Ushuaia - the southernmost town in the world. From Ushuaia she rode north through Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico and USA.

On a highway in Mexico City a red car put a temporary stop to her journey. After four months rest in Denmark she was ready to continue her journey from Mexico City to New York City.

In the beginning of March 2010 she is back in saddle, riding from Miami to San Francisco giving talks on her way across the States.
